High-risk leveraged products

Forex and contracts for difference (CFDs) are complex, leveraged products that can cause substantial financial losses and may be unsuitable for some individuals. Market prices can move quickly. Depending on the product, client agreement, jurisdiction and protections, losses may exceed an initial deposit. Only trade money you can afford to lose without affecting essential financial commitments.

Leverage, margin and forced liquidation

Leverage amplifies the impact of price changes on your account equity. A small adverse movement can trigger margin requirements or automatic position liquidation, potentially at unfavorable prices. The amount of leverage available may be restricted according to where you live, which legal entity serves you and the products or client classifications involved.

Market volatility, execution and stop orders

Spreads can widen, execution prices can slip and market gaps can occur around important news, reduced liquidity and market transitions. Stop-loss orders are risk management tools but do not guarantee execution at the requested level. Order rejection, delays, partial fills and abnormal volatility may affect the result.

Trading costs and non-market risks

Spreads, commissions, overnight funding or swaps, currency conversion, payment-provider charges and operational delays can affect a trading account. Counterparty exposure and client-money arrangements differ across legal entities and regulatory environments. Read the relevant product disclosure statement, account terms, complaints procedure and regulatory information before funding an account.

Hypothetical examples are not trading advice

Any sample scenario, chart, calculation, account comparison or strategy discussion on this site is for education and should not be treated as a live quote, a trading signal, personal investment advice or a guarantee. Past performance, backtests and demo outcomes cannot reliably predict future results.

Regulatory and regional differences

Products, leverage restrictions, investor protections and services vary by country and the contracting entity. Verify licensing directly against official regulator records rather than relying solely on a broker logo or generic country list. Where uncertain, seek appropriately qualified independent financial advice.
